Tropical paradise archipelago.

Despite being horribly over-visited by package tourists and ultra-rich celebrities, there are still plenty of uninhabited islands in the Bahamas. The culture is mediocre, but the people are wonderful - except for those that work in tourism (which is a lot of Bahamians), it seems most locals don't interact with foreigners that much, and are happy to chat. Being budget travellers, hitchhiking and camping, we felt like royalty sometimes.

We went to the Bahamas for an amazing Exumas Spearfishing and Sea Kayaking Expedition. Aside from the horrendous mosquitos, it was incredible. Otherwise, we've been around Nassau on New Providence island, and also Exuma. It's a great country for travellers willing to dig deeper.
