West meets China.

Taiwan is a unique place to visit. For the traveler, this is a semi-tropical mountainous island similar to China but with plenty of English in society. It’s also not exactly a tourist hotspot, and the people here are amazingly outgoing and interested to meet travelers.

I visited alone for a week to hike in the mountains and see the enormous city of Taipei. It’s surprisingly beautiful, and a great place to visit.
