A big, modern English-speaking city in Asia.

I visited Singapore for a week in May 2010. It's a sweaty city of ultra-modern infrastructure. Unlike much of Asia, most people here speak English. Some travelers (particularly those without a tight budget) rave about Singapore. I didn't find it much different than the money-oriented cities of North America. There's more to do here than anyone could squeeze into a week, and it's worth a visit.
