Tropical karst and Latin culture.

Puerto Rico is overlooked by many travellers, as it's neither a state nor a country. How fortunate, because overtourism would ruin this pretty island.

Unknown to most, including the majority of locals, Puerto Rico has thousands of caves. We spent five weeks here one winter exploring caves on our Puerto Rican Caving Expedition.

Beyond the underground, PR has fantastic beaches, incredibly warm people, and plenty of warm waterfalls. San Juan is also one of the nicest cities in Latin America. I love PR, and have a lifelong connection to this place and its people.
