An exotic nation in SE Asia.

Gold temples, buddhism, few tourists, a dark history, and completely safe. With plenty of adventure. These ideas are what drew me to Myanmar during my Global Cycling Tour and I was certainly not disappointed.

There seems to always be someone that speaks English. People are honest, the winter weather is fantastic, and everything is quite different than the rest of the world. The country is not so westernized like Thailand or India. The poverty and desperation can be appalling, but, in general, this fascinating country is a paradise for the traveller.
