Morocco
September-October 2021
A mythical desert nation of oases and fortresses.
Morocco is one of the most-visited countries in Africa, yet still has some of the most majestic and wild places anywhere. Despite many locals being absurdly aggressive and annoying towards any foreigner, it's well worth a visit. Our main purpose of visiting Morocco was to explore some incredible and undocumented caves, and some equally fantastic and little-known canyons. However, over five weeks we also visited the chaotic big cities, crossed the desert mountain ranges, and stayed at a Berber camp in the Sahara.
If you go (and you should!) expect to be hassled continually, but the rewards you'll discover far outweigh these minor stresses. This country is a pinnacle of travel.
