No introduction needed.

Italy is one of the most well-known and well-visited destinations for nearly every traveler. And for good reason: It's a cultural and geographical fascination.

I spent two weeks in Italy as part of my Global Cycle Tour. I had some of the best times interacting with both the locals and the numerous other travellers. The country is beautiful, and Italians are well-aware how lucky they are.

Tourism, however, is taking its toll, with Venice packed with mobs of tourists and admission fees for anything being too expensive. Visit in the off-season only - June was perfect.
