European superpower.

It seems like everyone has some connection to Germany. Friends, relatives, business, travel. It's a global country, and Germans are arguably the most well-traveled people on earth.

I visited twice in 2011, for about a week each time. At times, with the stringent work ethic, it feels more American than European. Beneath the surface, however, it's very different. Rich culture, prompt and respectful citizens, and medieval towns make this a country everyone should spend at least a few days in.
