Love it or hate it.

El Salvador is either small and boring and dangerous, or diverse and exciting with lots of fun people. I had a blast. There are some great beaches, albeit with rough surf, and a view amazing volcanoes to hike. The towns aren't so pretty, but everyone you interact with wants to know if you like their tiny country.

I spent a week here alone, staying in hostels on the beach and in the capital. I didn't meet too many other travellers, and enjoyed my time.
