An Atlantic island for the wealthy.
Bermuda is a fantastically expensive, densely-populated island off the coast of the eastern US. Oddly, it seems most Americans have never heard of it, or wrongly assume it's in the Caribbean, or, once in my experience, said it was part of Puerto Rico. In reality, it's a British territory.
We visited as a family, renting one of the cheapest houses on the island, in the farthest part, in the off-season. It was wonderful. Locals have a unique accent and seem to all know each other, and also seem to know absolutely everything about the history of their tiny island. There isn't much adventure, or really much to do all at, which is precisely the idea.
